What is Flexi-Lease ?
Flexible leasing is long term rental, by committing to a longer period of hire you get the benefit of large discounted rates, designed for customers who want to hire a vehicle for a month or more at a competitive price but don’t want the commitment of a long-term contract.
Do we offer delivery and collection
Yes delivery and collection is free of charge but only available Monday to Friday
If I take the vehicle for 6 months can I end the lease early
Yes, however if you take the 6 month discounted rate and terminate the agreement early your lease will revert to the 3 month rate and the minimum you would pay is 3 months, if you take the 3 month discounted rate and terminate early, your rate will revert to the 1 month rate and the minimum you will pay is 1 month, additional days beyond the lease agreement will be charged on a pro rata basis.
What is the minimum hire period?
28 days is the minimum period the vehicle must be taken.
Do I get a refund if I return the vehicle early?
No, each rental period is 28 days long and we do not refunds for unused days
Do I need to pay any deposits?
No, we do not require a deposit, all we require is the first months rental in advance, then your extension payments will be collected every 28 days until the end of your lease agreement.
Are there any mileage restrictions?
Yes, we offer a capped mileage allowance per month, 1000, 2000; 3000 miles per month, if you go over your chosen mileage allowance excess miles are charged at 12p per mile.
Can I increase my mileage once the lease has started.
Yes, but the increased charges will apply from the start date you took the vehicle out and you will need to call in to a local branch to re-sign the amended agreement.
What do I do if I want to go ahead?
Once you know the mileage you require, the length of the lease and the date you want to start give us a call and we will guide you through the booking process.
Can I get insurance from 1car1?
No, not on flexible leasing, you need to provide your own fully comprehensive insurance for the full length of the lease, if you want a vehicle with insurance call our daily rental team on 0113-387 5559
My insurance company wont cover a leased vehicle
If your insurance company wont cover the lease vehicle for you, try calling our partners at computer quote insurance on 0800-3285523 or fill in the online enquiry form located on the main page.
Do you open on Sundays and bank holidays
For flexible lease bookings the simple answer is no, However our sister company 1Car1 Car and van rental offer daily rental on weekends and bank holiday’s, please visit their web site for opening hours and locations that are open on Sundays & Bank holidays www.1car1.com alternatively you can call central reservations on 0113-387-5559 where they will be happy to take a booking or offer any advice on hiring a car or van short term.
What do I have to have with me when I collect the vehicle?
When collecting the vehicle from 1 of our branches you will need a copy of your driving licence (both parts) proof of address or letterhead for LTD companies. Copy of your insurance certificate or cover note and the credit / debit card you will be paying with, It is the hirer’s responsibility to ensure that they have the correct paperwork and documentation with them, our drivers will refuse hand over of the vehicle unless this is provided at the time of collection.
What do I do in the event of an accident?
In the event of an accident occurring with our vehicle, there are several things that you need to do:
Get the details of the other party, Contact our accident help line on 0800 107 3779 and inform your insurance company. You need to perform the actions above as soon after the accident as possible to avoid any complications with repairs to our vehicle.
Do you provide breakdown cover?
We provide full 24-hour breakdown cover at no extra cost. Full instructions are provided with your vehicle, telling you what you need to do in the event of a problem occurring with your car.
Do you guarantee a particular model of vehicle?
The vehicles shown on our website are typical of the most common vehicles that we supply.
We will always try to provide your exact requirements, if this is not possible we will offer the next alternative in that group, In the event that we do not have a vehicle available in the group booked, we will only ever upgrade to the next highest group.
Do you have any cleaning charges?
We do not normally impose a cleaning charge for vehicles hired. However there may be certain circumstances where we would require an additional fee. An example of this would be an instance where you are going to be carrying pets in our vehicle or the vehicle is returned in a poor and unacceptable condition. If in doubt you should contact us prior to your hire commencing.
How often are your vehicles serviced?
All our vehicles are serviced to the manufacturers recommended guidelines.
How old are your vehicles?
Our fleet is rotated regularly and most of our vehicles are under 1 year old with the majority under 6 months.
Do I have to pay to take the vehicle abroad?
Customers can take our vehicles abroad for an additional charge. If you want to go abroad this should be mentioned at the time of booking with information about the length of time out of the country and the countries you are visiting so as to enable our staff time to get all relevant documentation and cover arranged. This documentation is essential when passing national borders as otherwise the vehicle is liable to be seized by customs and Excise. All of this documentation can be obtained from us and customers should contact us for a quote. Please note that some countries are not eligible for this cover.
What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept payments by credit card, debit card, Direct debit is available for limited companies only (subject to a credit search)
we do not accept payment from visa electron, solo or cash plus credit cards that need to be topped up for payment, American express is acceptable with a 5% surcharge per transaction.
Payments from a third party card are not accepted, the card must be in the name of the person taking the lease agreement

What is your policy on the congestion charges?
Congestion charging Any vehicle movement into, out of or within the marked charging zone ("CCZ") between 07:00hrs and 18:30hrs (Monday to Friday), is chargeable at the rate of £8 per day.
Only one payment per vehicle, per day is required, once the first payment is made, any number of journeys may be made that day into, out of or within the CCZ, by that vehicle. The payment of £8 must be made by 22:00hrs on the day the movement was made; otherwise the charge rises to £10. If that is not paid before midnight, a Penalty Charge Notice will be issued in the sum of £100 (discounted to £50 if paid within 14 days). If the charge is not paid within 28 days, the charge rises to £150.
